Are you a professional driver who isn’t intimidated by a mountain pass or a long-haul cross-border route? At Ancor Transport, we are significantly expanding our fleet in Surrey, BC. We are currently in the LMIA process, which means we are ready to help qualified international drivers transition into a high-paying, stable career in Canada.

This is a role for true road professionals—drivers who know their way around a manual transmission and take pride in navigating the diverse terrain of North America.

What life on the road looks like with us

This isn’t just driving; it’s a specialized operation. Your role will involve:

• Mastering the Terrain: You’ll use your expertise in mountain driving to safely transport goods through some of the most beautiful (and challenging) landscapes in Canada and the US.
• The Gear: Operating straight trucks or tractor-trailers (including refrigerated units). You’ll be comfortable with CB radios, GPS, and on-board trip recorders.
• The Journey: You’ll handle international routes, which means managing trans-border paperwork, obtaining special permits, and sometimes driving as part of a two-person team or convoy.
• Hands-on Care: Beyond the wheel, you’ll oversee vehicle inspections, perform preventive maintenance (like brake adjustments), and ensure your cargo is secure and tarped perfectly.
• Leadership: As a senior member of a large team, you’ll even have the chance to coach newer colleagues on the best techniques for the road.

Who we’re looking for

• The Credentials: You hold a Class 1 or A License with an Air Brakes (Z) Endorsement.
• The Skillset: You are a pro with a manual transmission and have a solid handle on logbooks, bills of lading, and inspection reports.
• The Commitment: You are willing to travel internationally and stay overnight for extended periods. You have a valid passport and are ready for a thorough background check (criminal record, drug test, and medical exam).
• Physical Strength: Long-haul work is demanding. You’re comfortable sitting for long stretches but also capable of handling heavy loads up to 45 kg (100 lbs) when needed.
