What the role involves
This isn’t about checking boxes; it’s about becoming a trusted part of a household. You’ll be:
- Providing Loving Care: You’ll handle the day-to-day essentials—feedings, diaper changes, and baths—with the same warmth and attention you’d give your own family.
- Creating Healthy Habits: From helping the baby find a sleep rhythm to keeping their bottles and nursery spotless, you’ll help the whole house run smoother.
- Watching Over Milestones: You’ll keep a close eye on the baby’s development and health, keeping a simple record so the parents always feel in the loop.
- Supporting Mom: Sometimes the best way to care for a baby is to care for the mother. You’ll be there to help her with postnatal support whenever she needs an extra hand.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a professional with a big heart. You’ll be a great fit if:
- You Have the Background: You’ve spent plenty of time with newborns—perhaps you’ve worked as a nanny, a nurse, or a midwife.
- You’re Naturally Attentive: You notice the little things. You’re organized, hygienic, and you understand that safety is the number one priority.
- You’re Prepared: You have a solid grasp of newborn safety, and if you have CPR or First Aid training, that’s even better.
- You’re Flexible: Babies don’t always sleep through the night! We need someone who is okay with flexible hours and night shifts when the family needs it most.
